🚨 REMINDER: TALK TONIGHT  Join us for our last event of the year as we welcome local engineer Liam Gordon, winner of the 2024 Young Chemical Engineer of the Year award. Liam has been recognised for his contributions to the NRS Dounreay Shaft and Silo project - where he has been involved in the prototyping of tooling which will allow for its decommissioning. UNVEILING THE WONDERS OF THE ANTIKYTHERA MECHANISM The Caithness International Science Festival has organised a talk at Wick High School by Richard Oakley on Friday 22nd March. It is free entry and open to all. Guest speaker Richard is experienced in academic lecturing and engineering software development. He will talk about the 'Antikythera Mechanism' - a two-thousand year old mechanical device that is believed to be the world's oldest computer.
